David O’Reilly seems to be one of the more interesting people in animation at the moment. He recently did a video for U2. His low tech methodology and attitude is refreshing, as is his way of telling a story through brief flashes and fragments of situations. There’s a dreamlike quality to it that allows  the darkness and lightness play together quite effectively.

Great use of youtube/skype/webcam/fanbase to create a music video. The level of complexity the clip takes on is really quite impressive. Good UGC.

Great idea reminiscent of aardman creature comforts and a few other things but a lovely piece of work none the less. Produced by New York duo London Squared.
